we love our local Clydesdale bank. BUT............... how sad it is that you cannot speak to anybody from that branch.....you have to speak to a call centre.....not nice.....you cannot even email them directly....not nice.....want to make an appointment for Monday but....i do not want to speak to yet another person from a call centre.....what would happen if my husband have to speak to the bank in Kirkwall. he does not do paperwork (an accountant does that or his wife) and he does not do computers.....i am soooo fed up with call centres.....

it's a bank.. cash machine on the outside, layby for parking and a quick visit. Strange opening times make it hard to visit if you have a 9-5 job.

Got a flat tire on my way to Glasgow and stayed here the night. Stan and the rest of the staff were very welcoming and helpful in a rather stressful time. The corner room was lovely too, plenty of space for me and my girlfriend. Internet was a little spotty but otherwise had a great stay here. Thanks Stan!
Traditional Scottish hotel with welcoming owner and staff. Only went for family lunch but everyone very happy with freshly cooked fresh food...so fresh we could see the kitchen staff peeling the potatoes and carrots! Caters mainly for adults with poor childrens menu. Organises tours of own small hotel chain round Argyll at excellent prices. Food very reasonably priced. All happy.

Great it's open again... Great menu, great prices, very tasty
If you're looking for ground-breaking cuisine, clean toilets, authentic atmosphere and a selection of traditional Asian lagers, this place probably isn't for you. If, however, you fancy a great curry, friendly service and an *absolute bargain* (2 x main curries, lovely naan bread, rice and a (Tesco!) ginger beer for £16!) then go for it. No frills. BYOB & B happy :-)
